Pushbullet Now Supports OAuth Access

By Ryan Oldenburg on

OAuth access makes it easy for a website or app to send a user Pushbullet notifications or access other Pushbullet data.

We’ve been testing our new OAuth support with our early partners, IFTTT and Zapier, and it’s been working great. By using OAuth, Pushbullet users can enable these and other services to reach them on Pushbullet while also being able to revoke this permission later.

Using our new OAuth access, developers can add fully cross-platform push notification support to their services without needing to write custom clients.

Once a user has granted permission to your service, you can start sending customized rich notifications right away.

Push notifications are a much better way of informing users about important updates or other notifications for your service. They’re fully actionable which means higher engagement, and most imporantly, they don’t get lost in the email blackhole.

You can always reach us at [email protected].

We’re also always checking in on the Pushbullet subreddit. Our subreddit is a great place to ask questions or make suggestions because other developers and Pushbullet users will often help out right away or add their support too.
